Job description


JOB OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager, Medical Segment & Emerging Markets, will be accountable for the Go to Market strategy, Campaign Execution, and Growth Strategy for the medical segment. This position will play a key role in developing all marketing communication aligned with the product/service value proposition and delivered in an omni-channel approach. Additionally, the Marketing Manager, Medical Segment & Emerging Markets, will partner closely with the sales organization and all channel partners to ensure successful commercialization of the portfolio. This role will be responsible for the development and oversight of a marketing specialist.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Category ownership focused on downstream marketing activities including messaging, promotions, channel partnership, reporting, sales collaboration and customer engagement, maximizing market share and profitability.
  • Analyze marketing and sales data to identify trends, uncover actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making and business growth
  • Discover, interpret, and leverage performance reporting and dashboards to effectively communicate key metrics, business outcomes, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Crafting and delivering all marketing communication in print, digital and social media channels.
  • Develop and execute annual brand plan to include new product launches, digital marketing, lead generation campaigns, advertising, and promotion strategy.
  • Develop new product launch plans and customer VOC to maximize launch revenue for upcoming new products.
  • Lead educational and training content development and deployment.
  • Collaborate and partner with the sales team helping drive sales effectiveness and sales results.
  • Work closely with legal, regulatory, and other functional to align on objectives and teams achieve desired results. 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 10+ years of related experience in product marketing management or a classical marketing role. Preference is for marketing experience to be within the medical device sector.  
  • Strong reporting acumen with ability to analyze campaign data and deliver the results to executive leadership
  • Proven experience of working with and influencing end-user customers.
  • Strong analytical skills used to drive-decision making and experience building a business case using market and sales data and financial forecast statistics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with sales representatives on a daily basis.
  • Solid oral, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate and influence a cross functional team.
  • A high degree of intellectual curiosity and effective time management skills.

Language Skills                                              

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. MBA and/or dental/medical device industry experience preferred.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 20%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

SUPERVISION:

Manage work and goals of professional level staff performing non-routine work or who manage a process or system. May have subordinate supervisors.

SCOPE:

Typically manage a moderately complex section of a department, a small department, large process or multiple smaller processes. Make recommendations for executing on plans in accordance with the policies and directives of senior management. Accountable for meeting the operating objectives of the department. Provide guidance to staff within the latitude of established company policies. Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Assure adherence to and manage approved budgets. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the sub-function's future direction.

COMPLEXITY:

Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Full knowledge of multiple areas within sub-function derived from experience in non-management roles. Focus on executing goals in an accurate and timely manner.

STRATEGY:

Implement strategy to further the sub-function's larger goals through the work of professional staff. Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the sub-function.

INTERACTION:

Interact with senior management and/or customers, normally involving matters between functional areas and/or other company divisions or units. Often must lead a collaborative effort among members of a project team.

MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

Typically can hire, terminate, or promote; another level of approval may be required. Makes decisions on salary increases, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meeting expectations or consistently exceed expectations.


The posted range for this position is $99,662.00-$155,660.00 annually which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to be fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

At the time of this posting, this position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range subject to the achievement of the plan.
