Title: Architectural & Design Representative.
Reports to: VP of Sales and Business Development
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
The Architectural & Design Representative is the front door of Feeneyโs sales process within the architectural, interior design and specification community. This is a relationship-building and lead generation role, your primary mission is to identify, engage and qualify high-potential opportunities with architects, interior designers, design-build firms, and specifiers, then hand off warm, well qualified leads to the sales team.
You will be the face Feeney in the A&D community: attending events, conducting product education, and building trusted relationships that result in Feeney products being specified on projects. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will work in close relationship with the sales team to ensure a steady, high-quality pipeline of opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively identify and engage architects, interior designers, design-build firms and other specifiers through outbound outreach including, cold calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, and industry networking.
- Research target accounts and build a robust, prioritized prospect list within defined market segments (luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, multifamily).
- Qualify prospects against established criteria- project type, timeline, and budget and hand off warm, fully qualified opportunities to the sales team.
- Maintain accurate lead and activity records in NetSuite; track pipeline activity and report on key prospecting metrics.
Relationship Building & Product Education
Industry Presence & Market Development
- Attend and represent Feeney at Key industry events, trade shows, AIA chapter events, and local design and architecture gatherings to build brand visibility and capture leads.
- Develop and maintain a strong personal presence within the regional and national A&D community.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings and Feeney product innovations to speak credibly with design professionals.
Sales Team Collaborations
- Work closely with sales team members to ensure smooth handoffs; providew thorough lead context including project details, stakeholder contacts, and qualification notes.
- Support the specification process from initial A&D consultation through to bid, providing samples, drawing and technical data sheets as needed alongside the sales team.
- Share market intelligence and A&D feedback with sales, marketing and product teams to inform strategy
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development and lead generation or sales- ideally in building products, architectural products, construction or AEC related industries.
- Proven Track record of outbound prospecting and generating leads with architects, interior designers and specifiers.
- Strong understanding of the design and architecture community, including project cycles: Concept- specification- bid- install.
- Willing and able to travel regularly for client visits, events, and trade shows.
