Remote Architectural Animation information

What is remote architectural animation?

Remote architectural animation is the process of creating detailed 3D visualizations and animated walkthroughs of architectural designs from a remote location, without being physically present at the project site. These animations help architects, designers, and clients visualize a building or interior space before it is constructed. Using specialized software, professionals bring blueprints and concepts to life, enabling better communication, marketing, and decision-making throughout the design process. Remote work allows for collaboration with clients and teams worldwide, leveraging digital tools for efficient project delivery.

How does a remote architectural animation professional typically collaborate with architects and project teams?

Remote architectural animation professionals often work closely with architects, designers, and project managers through virtual meetings, file sharing platforms, and collaborative design tools. Regular communication is key, as feedback cycles can involve multiple stakeholders and revisions. Many teams use project management software to track progress and share updates, ensuring alignment on design intent and client requirements. Effective collaboration requires strong digital communication skills and the ability to adapt to varying workflows and time zones.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote architectural animator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Architectural Animator, you need strong 3D modeling and rendering skills, a solid understanding of architectural design principles, and proficiency with a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Expertise in software like Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp, Blender, and rendering engines such as V-Ray or Lumion is typically required. Excellent communication, creativity, and attention to detail are crucial soft skills for effectively collaborating with clients and design teams remotely. These abilities are vital to accurately visualize architectural concepts, meet client expectations, and deliver high-quality animations in a remote work environment.

Job description

AboutHubs
At Hubs, we're building the intelligence layer for organizations - where anyone can build AI solutions that spread and compound across the org. Our team is growing, fast-moving, and ambitious - led by multi-exit Silicon Valley entrepreneurs with a strong track record of creating products that shape how people work.
Along the way, we get to work with some of the most exciting parts of technology today - autonomous AI, innovative UIs, and reactive dataflows. It's the kind of work where the engineering itself feels fresh and creative, with room for invention and curiosity.
Joining Hubs means working on problems that matter. You'll be building for yourself, your peers, and millions of professionals navigating the shift from pre-AI to AI-first work. The products you create will be visible, widely used, and part of a broad societal transformation in how knowledge work gets done.
Aboutthe Role
We'relooking for a Senior Frontend UX Engineer who ispassionate about creating experiences, not just interfaces. Our product is a breakthrough visual canvas for AI thatredefines how human and machine intelligences collaborate.Basic building blocks called tiles are interactivelycomposed into dataflow mosaics that generatereal-timeinsight, with seamless support for agentic automation andautonomy. Our product is not a simple dashboard or dataviewer - it's a persistent intelligent workspace whereaesthetics, intuitiveness, and smooth workflows areabsolutely critical.
Youwill play a key role in shaping how users feel when theyinteract with our product. As part of the UX design council, you'll need to think deeply about collaboration, complexinteractions, and how to make a powerful tool feel simpleand delightful. This highly collaborative role is ideal forsomeone who doesn't just "implement specs" but activelyimproves them, anticipating user needs and sweating thedetails that make an interface feel polished and intuitive
Responsibilities
  • Leadthe end-to-end implementation of user-facing features, from concept to release.
  • Translatedesign ideas into seamless, performant, and accessibleexperiences.
  • Workclosely with product management, design council, andbackend team to ensure interactions are both elegant andtechnically sound.

  • Helpshape best practices for frontend development in agrowing, ambitious team.

  • Familiaritywith performance optimization (lazy-loading,memoization, bundle optimization).
  • Stronggrasp of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsivedesign principles.

  • Passionfor creating experiences, not just interfaces - youempathize with users and design for ease of use vs.power tradeoffs.
  • Abilityto simplify complex workflows into elegant, intuitiveinteractions.
  • Obsessiveattention to micro-interactions, motion, and polish -you notice when a pixel is off or a transition feelswrong.
  • Aestheticsense for color, typography, and spacing that buildsuser trust and delight.
  • Experiencewith collaborative or interactive apps (e.g. Figma,Notion, Miro, Google Docs-like systems).

  • Abuilder at heart - self-directed, curious, and eagerto ship beautiful, impactful features.
  • Committedto shaping and scaling best practices for frontenddevelopment and design systems as the teamgrows.

At Hubs, we're committed to building not just transformative products, but also a place where ambitious builders can thrive. You'll join a fast-moving, design-obsessed team where your ideas have real impact from day one. We offer a competitive salary, a chance for participation in upside via stock plans, and the flexibility of a remote-first environment. As an early member of the engineering team, you'll help shape both our product and our culture, working alongside passionate people who care deeply about craft, autonomy, and creating experiences users love.
