Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand each client's substance abuse history and mental health challenges, guiding their personalized treatment journey.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate strategies for addressing both addiction issues and underlying mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic approach.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to empower clients.
• Collaborate with fellow treatment team members, including medical practitioners, psychiatric nurses, and case managers, to ensure that clients receive seamless and effective care.
• Educate and support clients' families, fostering their involvement in the recovery process and enhancing the support system crucial for sustainable recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records in alignment with ethical guidelines and state regulations, safeguarding client privacy while ensuring compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is essential for this role.
• Specialized training in addiction counseling and experience working in substance abuse treatment frameworks are vital.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance use disorders and associated mental health conditions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, specifically focusing on substance abuse treatment.
