Job description

About the role and team

Working at Uber means solving hard problems in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment. As a Senior Application Developer, you will be a technical leader and architect for the digital glue that drives productivity across our global workforce. You won't just build tools; you will design the next generation of enterprise automation, acting as a critical link between complex global business needs and the scalable, high-performance systems that power our ecosystem.

This role is for a proven systems thinker who thrives when the stakes are high and the requirements are unrefined. You will navigate the "messy" reality of massive enterprise environments, managing shifting priorities and technical debt to build seamless, durable automation. We are looking for a technically curious engineer who stays calm under pressure, takes extreme ownership of global outcomes, and is motivated by the challenge of making movement - both digital and physical - more efficient. If you're energized by the chance to build and lead the development of tools that thousands of your peers rely on every day, this is where you'll grow.

Rate of Pay:                 $162,000 to $198,000 per year
You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.

  • Design and implement the end-to-end integration between the Enterprise Receivables Hub (ERH) and the Tax and Compliance as a Service (TCaaS) platform using REST APIs.
  • Engineer the solution to automate the generation of legally compliant electronic tax invoices, ensuring adherence to international tax regulations.
  • Design and implement system integration solutions to onboard new Lines of Business (LOBs), including Uber Grocery and Uber Direct, into the corporate B2B platform.
  • Architect and oversee the development and functionality of the Enterprise Receivables Hub (ERH), a self-service web platform that interfaces directly with Oracle.
  • Enable core functionalities including customer onboarding, invoice creation and submission, status tracking, and custom report generation for all manual B2B invoicing.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the integration between Oracle EBS and the High Radius (HRC) platform, overseeing modules for Deduction, Collections, Credit, and Cash Applications.
  • Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions to display customer hierarchy data within HRC, enabling advanced credit limit analysis.
  • Develop data integration processes to onboard open invoice data from the Esker Cash Applications into Oracle Receivables and Oracle Revenue Management and Billing.
  • Perform complex data reconciliation to ensure balance accuracy and integrity for core revenue accounting systems.
  • Design and implement an automated email notification system for customer invoice delivery, integrating with Oracle Receivables to streamline the billing-to-collection cycle and improve operational efficiency.
  • May telecommute.

Basic Qualifications

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field, followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in an applications development-related occupation. OR Employer will accept 7 years of experience in an applications development-related occupation.
  • Position requires the following years of experience:
