Summary of Job Duties:
The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports IT EMR Services. Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports system applications, primarily Epic Ambulatory (Healthy Planet/Compass Rose). Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration. Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system. Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates, and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts. Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Provides On-Call support for application.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT or related field plus three (3) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two - OR - Bachelor's degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT or related field plus five (5) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two - OR - Associates degree in Clinical, Healthcare, Business, IT or related field plus seven (7) years of experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two - OR - High School diploma plus nine (9) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two.
  • Required certification: Epic Ambulatory and Epic Healthy Planet/Compass Rose. Must currently be certified or obtain certification within 12 months
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or progressively higher degree
  • IT experience plus Clinical or Operational experience
