Job description

Primary Purpose
Responsible for the operational delivery of the Epic security build for Parkland's Epic system including quality assurance activities that promote standardization, reliability, and secure application integrations which simultaneously protect patient privacy and deliver appropriate access to users of the system.
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
-Must have a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems.
Experience:
-Must have five (5) years of experience working with Epic Security management.
-Must have five (5) years of experience working with Epic Chronicles.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience:
-May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Certification/Registration/Licensure:
-Must have Epic Security Coordinator proficiency or higher certification or obtain certification within six (6) months of job placement.
Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must be able to demonstrate effective Epic security skills and knowledge
-Utilizes collaboration, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in addressing decisions and resolving issues.
-Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with department personnel, user departments, managers, and senior leadership.
-Must be customer service oriented.
