About the Role
The Partner Technical Advisor (Senior Solutions Engineer) is a senior technical pre-sales role embedded within a high-performing Channel Sales organization. This position is responsible for driving channel partner enablement, accelerating product adoption, and delivering successful customer outcomes through technical expertise, solution alignment, and strategic collaboration with F5's channel ecosystem.
Primary Responsibilities
Channel Partner Enablement & Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key channel partners.
  • Develop and manage technical enablement plans for aligned channel partners.
  • Train channel partner Sales and Solutions Engineer teams to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Coordinate channel partner training activities in partnership with F5 Sales teams.
  • Deliver channel partner workshops and demand generation activities.
  • Provide consistent training on F5 solutions and competitive differentiation.

Pre-Sales & Solution Design
  • Articulate F5's sales strategy, messaging, and value proposition in the context of customer business objectives.
  • Provide solution design guidance aligned with desired business outcomes.
  • Clearly communicate the technical and business value of F5 solutions relative to competitive alternatives.
  • Develop and contribute to customer- and partner-facing content, including presentations, use cases, and technical collateral.

Partner & Sales Alignment
  • Collaborate with Channel and Sales management to onboard channel partners and assess their capability to effectively position and sell F5 solutions.
  • Provide proactive consultative support to channel partners as technical needs arise.
  • Align channel partners with F5 Sales and Technical Support teams to facilitate timely resolution of issues.
  • Understand and apply F5's critical issue escalation process when required.

Professional Development
  • Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge across F5's product portfolio, the relevant industry landscape, and pre-sales best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related industry experience in networking, security, and/or web technologies.
  • 3+ years of pre-sales or solutions engineering experience.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker Swarm.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling including Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and Docker.
  • Working knowledge of application development languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of F5 technologies, solutions, and product offerings.
  • Knowledge of OWASP principles and application security fundamentals.
  • Understanding of application security vulnerabilities, threat vectors, security controls, and web application firewall (WAF) technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience.
