What is remote app optimization?

Remote app optimization refers to the process of improving the performance, usability, and efficiency of applications that are accessed remotely, such as cloud-based or virtual applications. This involves techniques like reducing load times, optimizing network usage, enhancing security, and ensuring smooth user experiences across various devices and locations. Professionals in this field analyze app performance metrics, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement updates or configurations to achieve optimal app functioning for remote users.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote app optimization roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Remote App Optimization often encounter challenges such as limited access to live user environments, varying device configurations, and communication barriers with distributed teams. Overcoming these issues typically involves leveraging remote testing tools, implementing automated performance monitoring, and maintaining clear, proactive communication with both development and QA teams. Staying organized and using collaborative platforms can also help ensure smooth optimization processes despite working remotely.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote app optimization specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote App Optimization Specialist, you need a solid understanding of app performance metrics, user experience (UX) principles, and mobile analytics, often supported by a degree in computer science or related fields. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Firebase, A/B testing platforms, and App Store Optimization (ASO) software is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities help you identify issues and collaborate with distributed teams. These skills are essential for enhancing app usability, increasing user engagement, and driving business growth in a remote work environment.

Job Description

Jitterbit is looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Junior Marketing Specialist to join our performance marketing team.

We are looking for a true go-getter and self-starter - someone who is naturally curious, loves figuring out how platforms work, and takes absolute pride in flawless execution. If you are eager to get hands-on experience managing campaigns, diving into data, and owning critical marketing systems, this is your launchpad.

In this role, you will help run our marketing engine. You'll spend half of your time on the technical, operational side - building automation workflows, scheduling emails, and tracking data in HubSpot and Salesforce. The other half will be spent in the exciting world of paid acquisition - creating ads, partnering with design to build creatives, and working with our agency to launch and optimize PPC and Paid Social campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Operations

  • HubSpot Automation: Set up, test, and maintain HubSpot workflows to support lead nurturing and campaign tracking.
  • Email Logistics: Build and schedule marketing emails in HubSpot (we provide the templates and the copy; you handle the technical setup and QA).
  • AI Project Coordination: Support inbound and outbound AI functions across various AI tools and platforms (e.g., Gong, Artisan, Qualified, etc.).
  • Tracking Setup: Ensure tracking pixels, UTMs, and campaigns are correctly set up so data flows smoothly into Salesforce.
  • Basic Reporting: Help pull campaign data and maintain reports in HubSpot and Salesforce to show what campaigns are working.

Paid Media & Ad Management

  • Ad Copywriting & Asset Coordination: Write short, punchy ad copy for paid social/search and work directly with our Design team to get the images/videos needed.
  • Agency Collaboration: Act as a key coordinator with our external ad agency to help get campaigns live on time.
  • Ad Optimization: Monitor Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager daily to identify quick-win optimizations (e.g., pausing underperforming ads, adjusting budgets).

     Campaign Project Management & Reporting

  • End-to-End Campaign Management: Manage marketing campaign timelines, workflows, and launch schedules from kickoff to execution to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate directly with Content, Design, Sales, and external partners to gather assets, align messaging, and ensure successful campaign launches.
  • Dashboards & Performance Insights: Build and maintain clear reporting dashboards to monitor campaign performance, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, operations, or paid ads (agency background is a huge plus!).
  • The "Go-Getter" Attitude: You are a self-starter. When you don't know how to do something, your first instinct is to research, watch a tutorial, and try to solve it before asking.
  • Tool Exposure: Familiarity with HubSpot (or a similar automation tool) and Salesforce is highly desired, but a proven ability to learn complex software quickly is a must.
  • Detail-Oriented: You triple-check your links, your spelling, and your workflow logic before hitting "Publish."
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can collaborate smoothly with design, our agency partners, and internal stakeholders.
Additional Information

Why You'll Love This Role

You won't be stuck doing just one thing. You'll have full visibility into how operational efficiency directly impacts paid revenue, making you a highly visible and critical contributor to Jitterbit's growth.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.

Jitterbit is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical or mental disability, genetic factors, military/veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.
