GEOINT Analyst (SAR & Spectral) - Multiple Positions

Location: Dayton, OH (Wright-Patterson Air Force Base)Clearance Required: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI EligibilityTravel: Less than 20%

About the Opportunity

NV5 is seeking motivated and experienced GEOINT Analysts to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) in Dayton, Ohio. In this role, you will provide operational support for the acquisition, processing, modeling, analysis, cataloging, and dissemination of non-literal Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) derived from both active and passive remote sensing systems, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), multispectral, hyperspectral, and thermal infrared data.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside scientists, engineers, and intelligence professionals supporting critical national security missions while helping develop innovative analytical workflows, intelligence products, and technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data and produce intelligence products.
  • Perform non-literal exploitation of active and passive sensor data, including:
    • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
    • Multispectral imagery
    • Hyperspectral imagery
    • Thermal Infrared (IR) data
  • Integrate exploitation results with research findings and electro-optical (EO) analysis to provide meaningful intelligence assessments.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of analytical products before dissemination.
  • Collaborate with scientists and technical experts to analyze unique, anomalous, and challenging datasets using engineering principles and physics-based approaches.
  • Help develop, refine, and improve analytical processes and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.
  • Produce intelligence reports, presentations, and technical products to support mission requirements.
  • Complete required security, network, and sensor-discipline training.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline such as:
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Imagery Science
    • Mathematics
    • Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Related technical field
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing remote sensing, GEOINT, SAR, spectral, or related intelligence data.
  • Strong technical writing, briefing, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with GEOINT and remote sensing tools such as ENVI, SOCET GXP, RemoteView, ArcGIS, or similar platforms.
  • Experience programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, R, IDL, or similar languages.
  • Experience processing and analyzing active and/or passive remote sensing data, particularly SAR, spectral, and thermal infrared datasets.
