Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have experience building relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, infectious disease physicians, specialty physicians, and infusion providers. This role requires a clinical understanding of infusion therapies and the ability to educate referral sources on appropriate patient placement and treatment options within the home setting.


Business Development & Referral Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, care coordinators, physicians, and other key referral sources.
  • Conduct routine sales calls on hospitals, health systems, physician groups, infusion centers, and specialty clinics.
  • Partner with infectious disease, gastroenterology, rheumatology, neurology, and oncology practices to identify appropriate home infusion referrals.
  • Educate referral sources on home infusion services, patient eligibility, reimbursement considerations, and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with hospital care teams to facilitate smooth patient transitions from acute care to home infusion services.

Clinical Knowledge

  • Demonstrate expertise in infusion therapies including:
    • IV Antibiotics
    • Infectious Disease Treatments
    • Hydration Therapy
    • IVIG
    • Biologic Therapies
    • Specialty Infusions
    • Nutritional Support (TPN)
  • Serve as a clinical resource to referral partners regarding infusion protocols and home-based treatment options.


LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of healthcare sales, clinical liaison, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical sales, or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience calling on:
    • Hospitals
    • Case Managers
    • Discharge Planners
    • Infectious Disease Physicians
    • Specialty Physician Practices
    • Skilled Nursing Facilities
  • Working knowledge of infectious disease therapies, infusion services, and post-acute care transitions.
  • Proven track record of developing referral relationships and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial reimbursement related to infusion services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Home Infusion Sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting infectious disease therapies and IV antibiotic programs.
  • Existing relationships with hospitals and physician referral networks throughout the territory.
  • Experience as a Clinical Liaison, Infusion Nurse, Nurse Navigator, Account Executive, or Healthcare Business Development professional.
  • BSN preferred.

Local Travel Required-  West Metro Atlanta and surrounding communities.
