As a Specialty Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for interpreting and entering prescription data in our pharmacy system, answering incoming calls, and completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details / clinical information. It's a fast paced, high-volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life - saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

Schedule: 8-hour shift between 7am - 7pm CST, Monday - Friday with possibility of weekends and overtime.

If you reside in Michigan, Arizona, Florida, or Texas, you'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verify appropriate and accurate patient information
  • Enter prescription data into pharmacy system
  • Contact patients, pharmacists, and providers to resolve issues
  • Other assignments and projects as needed
  • Maintain proficiency and quality as standardized by the department

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician state license in state of employment without restrictions
  • 1 years of pharmacy prescription processing experience
  • 1 years of experience with computer navigation and Microsoft programs such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Friday. Shift will be consistent once determined. Overtime may be required on weekdays and weekends as needed.
  • Reside in one of the following states: Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Texas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialty pharmacy experience
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT or NHA)

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Telecommuting is not to be used as a substitute for children or dependent care. In order to dedicate full attention to work duties, employees must establish or continue regular child or dependent care arrangements while telecommuting.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
