Pupcycled is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that creates durable and sustainable dog toys from recycled clothing materials. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of dogs while promoting a healthier planet. We believe in the power of sustainability and animal welfare, combining these values to reduce waste and bring joy to pets. Through creativity and passion, we strive to make a difference in the environment and community.

Role Description

This is a volunteer and remote role for a Board Secretary at Pupcycled. The Board Secretary will be responsible for maintaining accurate meeting minutes, organizing and archiving Board documents, coordinating Board meetings, and ensuring compliance with governance requirements. The Secretary will also collaborate on strategic planning initiatives and assist in managing communications between Board members, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with or knowledge of Board of Directors operations and Corporate Governance principles
  • Skills in Strategic Planning and an understanding of organizational development
  • Experience in Public Relations and fostering relationships with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Government regulations and non-profit reporting requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit or similar role is a plus
