This unique opportunity allows you to provide crucial mental health support from the comfort of your home, helping individuals achieve optimum mental and emotional well-being. If you are a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), we invite you to consider making a meaningful impact through your expertise.

About the Organization

One Step at a Time Psychiatric Services is a community-focused health clinic based in Springfield, Oregon, committed to providing accessible and quality mental health care. This position offers 100% remote work flexibility, allowing you to create a work environment that suits your preferences. Our supportive team infrastructure ensures that you can perform your counseling duties effectively without the distractions often associated with traditional office settings. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, we utilize a user-friendly therapy platform that acts as your private online office for conducting sessions, managing client interactions, and maintaining records electronically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients via video chat sessions to counsel and support them in addressing their emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate open discussions, encouraging clients to express their thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment.
  • Identify key issues through active listening, conversation analysis, and standardized assessments to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with clients to set personal goals, create actionable strategies, and offer insights that promote healing and personal growth.
  • Adopt a solution-focused approach to therapy, empowering clients to overcome obstacles and build resilience.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve supporting stable, low-acuity clients who seek treatment for various emotional and psychological issues. These individuals typically require short-term interventions geared towards enhancing their mental health, enabling them to develop coping strategies and fostering their personal growth. Our screening process ensures that you will engage only with clients who fit this profile, allowing you to focus on their therapeutic needs without the burden of more complex or high-risk cases.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
  • Must hold an active and unrestricted license to practice independently as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
  • No provisional or limited licenses will be considered, nor candidates with disciplinary actions against their professional record.

  • Proficient in using digital tools and platforms to conduct virtual therapy sessions effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those seeking low-acuity services.
  • Familiarity with solution-focused therapy and evidence-based practices.
  • Prior experience accessing and utilizing electronic health record systems.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Counselors who join our team can also expect the following benefits:

  • A monthly healthcare stipend to support your well-being.
