The Senior Insights Analyst on the Strategic Analytics team delivers actionable observations on donor behavior and informs the data-driven elements of campaign strategy, planning, and execution. This role collaborates with internal and external teams to support client success and requires a unique combination of analytical expertise, business acumen, and open-minded thinking. The Senior Insights Analyst's primary responsibility is to translate analytical and business intelligence results into meaningful insights and strategic recommendations. They guide the development of methodologies for the analytics team to execute and provide direction and expertise to the strategy and client services teams. Your Impact:
  • Analyzes donor trends and translates them into meaningful strategic action.
  • Works with the Analytics team to develop methodologies to answer open-ended questions.
  • Develops trusted relationships with key client contacts and internal team members.
  • Identify areas for innovation or process improvement.
  • Builds growth scenarios for clients; integrating donor and channel trends and investments to illustrate impact of short- and long-term investments and corresponding strategic roadmap.
  • Builds segmentation recommendations for each campaign and intersects with partner agencies as needed when modeling is involved. Develops model implementation plans and recommendations for audiences and campaigns.
  • Stays abreast of nonprofit industry trends and research.
  • Presents and explain complicated concepts and results to non-technical internal and external audiences.
  • Identifies key data points and measurements to exhibit the impact of our approach and strategy on the client's business.
  • Assists in developing parameters for testing, measures statistical significance of results, and communicates recommendations to strategy teams.

Your Profile:
  • 4-6 years' experience in direct response marketing required.
  • 4+ years working in an agency or consulting firm.
  • Experience as a marketing/data analyst with a nonprofit organization or an agency that provides direct marketing services to nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with direct mail and acquisition strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in mathematics, marketing, economics, social sciences.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts and programming languages like Python. SQL or R.
  • Familiarity with CRM and database systems.
  • Understanding of the nonprofit industry, including perspectives on how the following influence program strategy, is necessary.
    • Structural, cultural, and sector differences.
    • Program differences (scope and framework).
    • Donor behavior.
    • Marketing strategies and tactics to engage donors (for different goals).
  • Expertise in using data to drive decisions. A high-level proficiency in Excel and experience working with other data visualization/reporting tools are required.
  • A highly collaborative approach, high emotional intelligence and refined communication skills are needed to foster strong and lasting internal and external relationships.
  • Exceptional and persuasive written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with clients and senior level executives.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, outstanding organizational, time management and planning expertise.
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to think strategically and execute efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a creative and resourceful problem solver; able to balance tension between partner expectations and organizational capabilities, strategies, and results, while maintaining high ethical standards.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and concepts like randomized controlled trials, hypothesis testing, summary statistics, regression, and other explanatory and predictive modeling frameworks.
