Hexagon US Federal is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team to design and test advanced instruments. If you are interested in challenging, state-of-the-art designs and cutting-edge technology with commercial and government applications this is the right place for you.

The Electrical Hardware Design Engineer must be experienced in designing analog and digital electronics and associated harnessing. The engineer must have hands-on experience working with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. FPGA design experience is also highly preferred. Tasks will include electronics design along with prototyping, testing, and generating drawings, specifications, and test procedures. The candidate should have design experience for rugged applications and/or NASA space flight programs.ย 
Job Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional electrical engineering experience
  • Strong experience with analog & digital circuit design, debug, and test
  • Experience in schematic capture and PCB Design with Altium Designer toolsetย ย 
  • Experience with circuit simulation, worst case circuit analysis, and electrical stress analysis
  • VHDL-based FPGA design experience with Xilinx & Microchip devicesย 
  • Hands-on lab experience prototyping, troubleshooting, and debugging circuit boards and subassembliesย 
  • Experience with high-speed analog and digital interfacesย 
  • Design history with airborne, space-flight, military, or rugged high-reliability applications
  • Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and also as part of a team
  • Highly motivated and responsible with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong organizational and verbal & written communication skills

Salary Transparancy
Octave Federal provides compensation information in accordance with applicable multiโ€‘state pay transparency laws. The projected annual salary range for this position is $104,000 to $130,000 (USD). Actual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as work location, education, experience, skills, organizational requirements, and contractโ€‘specific budget parameters. This range reflects what is typically offered for the role and represents only one component of Octave Federalโ€™s total compensation package, which may also include benefits and other forms of remuneration.ย
