Positive Progress Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for families, establishing proactive communication and building therapeutic alliances.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Attachment-Based Family Therapy and our in-house clinical model.
  • Conduct new Family Orientations and Welcome Presentations to help families understand the therapeutic process.
  • Organize and lead Family Support Groups, creating a safe space for families to share experiences and support each other.
  • Thoroughly document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and timelines.
  • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and EMR systems to manage client information and scheduling efficiently.
  • Actively participate in weekly treatment team and staff meetings, as well as clinical supervision sessions, to ensure cohesive treatment planning.
  • Represent the organization at relevant meetings, trainings, and conferences to enhance community engagement and brand presence.
  • Independently manage and organize your schedule to meet therapeutic goals and deliver optimal client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your involvement will significantly impact not only their personal growth but also their familial relationships. You will be working closely with clients who often cross paths with various complexities, such as substance use and eating disorders.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida is essential.
  • Board registration (e.g., APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, MHCA) or status as a Psychological Associate in the state is required before starting.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two yearsโ€™ experience working in individual, group, and family therapy settings, specifically with adolescents and young adults.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, mental health crises, substance use disorders, and eating disorders is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, with the potential for a sign-on bonus. In addition, we provide:
