Position Overview

The Citrus Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. In this full-time, remote role, you will provide essential therapeutic services through telehealth, helping clients navigate their mental health challenges with compassion and professional expertise. With a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually and the added potential of a sign-on bonus, this position offers both financial and personal satisfaction.

About the Organization

Citrus Psychotherapy Center is a leading mental health provider based in Glendale, Arizona, specializing in delivering comprehensive mental health care through innovative telehealth services. Our mission is to promote mental health and wellness in a supportive, client-centered environment. By leveraging technology, we extend our reach to help individuals from diverse backgrounds access high-quality psychological services. We are committed to fostering a culture of professional development and peer collaboration amongst our staff.

Work Environment

This role is uniquely designed to be entirely remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a work-life balance. Utilizing state-of-the-art telehealth platforms, you will conduct therapy sessions, participate in team meetings, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals without the constraints of a traditional office setting. This environment promotes flexibility as well as the ability to serve clients across various locations, making a significant impact on their mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Interaction: Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document progress from the initial assessment through the completion of treatment.
  • Evaluation: Assess clientsโ€™ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine suitable treatment strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans that may include individual, couple, family, or group therapy.
  • Therapeutic Facilitation: Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to address client needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate clients' progress regarding their treatment goals and make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work cohesively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Continuity of Care: Follow up with healthcare providers for clients who may be hospitalized or require additional medical attention.
  • Recovery Strategies: Identify behaviors that impede recovery and develop strategies to mitigate them while supporting clients and their families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our inclusive approach acknowledges and respects the unique backgrounds, cultures, and experiences of each client, promoting a safe space for healing and growth. You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on individuals, couples, and families, guiding them toward improved mental health and well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, emphasizing hands-on clinical practice.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for managing client information.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Experience in addressing the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions, as well as understanding addiction and recovery processes.
  • A solid understanding of psychiatric medication effects prescribed by medical specialists.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills characterized by empathy, compassion, and the ability to connect with clients effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities to convey complex information clearly.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging between $80,000 to $100,000.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer contributions to support your future goals.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy along with holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Access to continuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
  • Collaborative and supportive working environment that values your contributions.
