Job DescriptionDescriptionAmerican Express is seeking a strategic, client-focused, and highly collaborative Manager, Business Strategy & Partnerships to support the continued growth and success of third-party partner products within the B2B Sales & Solutions organization.
This role will play a critical part in refining and scaling the sales workflow for partner solutions, helping sales teams effectively position product capabilities, navigate client conversations, and drive successful onboarding experiences. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging with internal stakeholders, presenting to clients, and building strong external partner relationships.
The
Manager, Business Strategy & Partnerships will serve as a key liaison between Sales, Business Strategy, Product, and external partners to ensure alignment on go-to-market execution, sales enablement, and client success.
ResponsibilitiesSales Support- Partner closely with Sales teams to support client opportunities involving third-party partner products.
- Participate in internal strategy discussions to align client needs with partner product functionality and capabilities.
- Help outline next steps, sales workflows, and onboarding processes for successful client enrollment and implementation.
- Provide responsive support for ad hoc sales and product-related questions from internal teams.
- Participate in client meetings to:
- Conduct product demonstrations
- Lead Q&A discussions
- Tie product benefits and capabilities to client needs
- Outline implementation expectations and onboarding processes
Strategic Development- Support the development and refinement of scalable sales workflows for partner products.
- Promote partner solutions, including Emburse Spend, across Sales teams to drive awareness and adoption.
- Present during new-hire training sessions and ongoing sales enablement initiatives.
- Strategize with Business Solutions Managers (BSMs) in the Large Market segment to support effective client positioning and sales execution.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, training materials, and client engagement strategies.
Internal & External Partnership Management- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Lead recurring partner connection meetings to discuss client scenarios, product enhancements, and strategic opportunities.
- Enhance both client-facing and internal training materials related to FRC and partner solutions.
- Communicate product updates, enhancements, and new capabilities to internal teams and provide guidance on how to leverage them in client conversations.
- Represent American Express professionally in both internal and external interactions.

Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting B2B sales organizations or partnership-driven solutions
- Experience with sales enablement, onboarding workflows, or implementation support
- Familiarity with expense management, financial technology, or partner solutions ecosystems
- Experience creating training content, sales collateral, and onboarding documentation
