You will then help package these successful innovations for our B2B partners by developing user-facing ad products, contributing to our Javascript SDK, and building the robustAPIs that power everything. This role requires a product-minded engineer who is passionate about creating seamless user experiences and comfortable working across the full technology stack, from client-side rendering to backend API logic.
What would your day-to-day look-like:
  • Innovate on Ad Products: Lead the development of new ad features and formats, from concept to execution.
  • Build on Hopper.com: Implement and test new ad experiences on Hopper's website, serving as the proving ground for features that will be scaled to our partners.
  • Develop Core APIs: Design, build, and maintain the scalable APIs that serve ad content, handle user interactions, and collect performance metrics.
  • Contribute to Partner Integrations: Apply your expertise to the development of our client-side Javascript SDK, helping our partners seamlessly integrate HTS Media ad products.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Set the standard for high-quality code, performance, and reliability for all our web-facing technologies.
  • Collaborate and Mentor: Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to ship high-impact solutions and provide technical guidance to the team.

An ideal profile has:
  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a proven track record of building and shipping complex, user-facing web applications.
  • Expertise in a modern backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go) and a modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue, Svelte).
  • Deep proficiency in Javascript/TypeScript and a strong understanding of the web ecosystem (browsers, performance, security).
  • Strong experience designing and building robust APIs.
  • A product-centric mindset with a passion for building delightful and impactful user experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
