Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Elevance Counseling, your daily responsibilities will center around the following:

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and challenges.
• Diagnose and create tailored treatment plans addressing various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, adjusting plans in response to client progress.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement effective discharge plans, ensuring seamless continuity of care for your clients.
• Educate clients and their families on available community resources, support groups, and treatment options to enhance overall well-being.
• Provide individual and family therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment where clients can express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations and clinical standards as established by the Mental Health Practice Act.
• Organize and prioritize caseloads by assessing the needs of new, current, and discharging patients to streamline your daily work.
• Serve as an advocate for clients, assisting them in navigating the mental health system and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders involved in their care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals and families within the Peoria community who are facing various mental health concerns. This includes those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological issues. Our diverse clientele may include adults, adolescents, and families, providing you with the opportunity to employ a range of therapeutic interventions and approaches to engage different demographic groups.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Psychologist in the state of Arizona.
• Strong familiarity with community mental health resources and a commitment to connecting clients with these essential services.

• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention and crisis debriefing, particularly in a mental health context.

Compensation and Benefits
