Billing Analyst Work model: 100% Remote (offsite) Compensation: $35/HR

What you’ll do

In this role, you’ll support billing operations by maintaining admin rates, preparing invoices, and making sure financial data is accurate and flows correctly through internal billing/finance systems. You’ll also help troubleshoot issues, partner with vendors and internal teams, and support reporting and audits.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain admin rates and help prepare/deliver invoices to support revenue.
  • Compile, validate, and support financial data uploads to financial systems to help ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets for cash application and reconciliation to daily bank statements.
  • Audit vendor payments to confirm accuracy (rates, field mapping, and related system setup).
  • Partner with vendor and internal points of contact to clarify requirements and resolve rate/payment questions.
  • Track manual billing activity and enrollment system updates; share progress updates when needed.
  • Create ad hoc queries/reports upon request; assist with audit support as needed.
  • Troubleshoot billing system/user issues and coordinate fixes with vendors, account teams, and technical partners.
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) for vendor change requests and scheduled system releases.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a math-related field plus 2+ years in an accounting/business/finance role OR (if no degree) an additional 4 years of relevant experience (in addition to the required experience).
  • Strong Excel skills (comfortable working with detailed spreadsheets/reconciliations).
  • High attention to detail and strong data entry/number accuracy.
  • Clear written/verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and spreadsheet-based tools.
