What does a remote alarm monitoring operator do?

A Remote Alarm Monitoring Operator is responsible for monitoring security systems, fire alarms, and other emergency signals from a remote location. They assess alerts in real-time, verify their authenticity, and coordinate appropriate responses, such as contacting emergency services or site personnel. Their role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of people and property by providing rapid response to potential threats or incidents. Operators typically work with specialized software and communication tools to manage multiple alarm systems efficiently.

To thrive as a Remote Alarm Monitoring Operator, you need strong attention to detail, quick decision-making abilities, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with alarm monitoring software, CCTV systems, and communication tools is important, and some employers may require security certifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure help operators manage emergencies effectively. These skills ensure timely responses to security incidents, minimize risks, and maintain safety for clients and property.

Job description

Position Overview

Cure Tablet is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. Positioned remotely and operating from our outpatient office in Athens, Georgia, this full-time role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. This position invites you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals grappling with complex co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

About the Organization

Cure Tablet is an innovative outpatient practice committed to delivering holistic mental health services tailored to our clients' unique journeys of recovery. We pride ourselves on our integrated care approach, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists. Our mission is to create sustainable pathways to recovery, empowering individuals with comprehensive resources that promote holistic well-being.

Work Environment

Your work will take place within a remote setting, providing the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring you maintain a balanced work-life dynamic. You will generally work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with some evening hours potentially required on a rotating basis, depending on client appointments. This remote arrangement encourages a culture of teamwork and support, enabling you to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health and substance use challenges, with a focus on identifying co-occurring disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that address the complexities of both mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with critical coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills.
  • Engage in cohesive care coordination with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that clients receive a holistic treatment experience tailored to their unique needs.
  • Monitor substance use regularly and employ motivational interviewing techniques to reinforce clientsโ€™ commitment to recovery.
  • Educate clients and their families regarding the interrelation between mental health and substance use disorders while emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment.
  • Maintain meticulous, timely documentation of all treatment interactions, interventions, and client progress, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in treating co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals facing co-occurring disorders, which often present complex treatment challenges. By working with a diverse client population, you will address a variety of mental health issuesโ€”such as anxiety, depression, and traumaโ€”concurrently with substance use disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding clients through their recovery journeys and fostering sustainable change in their lives.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • Proficiency in implementing evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Strong understanding of the interconnections between mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which foster effective collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly in settings that address co-occurring disorders. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and previous experience with outpatient care delivery will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary between $75,000 and $100,000, along with a possible sign-on bonus.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy and paid holidays to promote a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development, including specialized training in integrated care practices.
  • A supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and personal growth.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Cure Tablet, we value your professional development and are committed to offering avenues for career advancement. As part of our integrated care team, you will have the chance to enhance your expertise in co-occurring disorder treatment and potentially step into leadership roles or specialize further in clinical practices.

Why Join Our Team

With a shared commitment to integrated care and a supportive work culture, youโ€™ll find fulfillment in both your professional journey and the positive impact youโ€™ll have on your clients.
