Position Purpose
The Director of Maintenance is responsible for the full maintenance oversight of the organization's Gulfstream GV aircraft operating under Part 91. This is a senior technical role requiring deep expertise in business aviation maintenance, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight. The DOM owns aircraft airworthiness, CAMP compliance, maintenance scheduling, and cost efficiency. This includes managing contractors and MRO relationships, overseeing maintenance budgets, and ensuring the aircraft is ready, compliant, and well-maintained at all times. This is not a coordinative or administrative role. The Director of Maintenance is expected to set direction, make decisions, and be accountable for outcomes across a complex, high-value aviation program. This full time year-round benefitted position offers a salary range between $160,000 - $180,000.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks
Maintenance Leadership & Airworthiness
  • Serve as the accountable maintenance authority for all Part 91 flight operations involving the Gulfstream GV.
  • Manage and sign off on all CAMP (Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program) items and ensure the aircraft remains on a current, approved maintenance tracking program.
  • Plan and coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events, including inspections, ADs, and SBs.
  • Stay current with Gulfstream service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and FAA regulatory updates.
  • Liaise with flight crew and management to communicate maintenance status, AOG situations, and return-to-service timelines.

Financial Management & Budget Oversight
  • Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety.
  • Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors, repair stations, and MROs.
  • Source and manage parts procurement, ensuring quality and traceability standards are met.

Compliance, Systems & Documentation
  • Maintain all aircraft records, logbooks, and documentation in compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Ensure all CAMP items, inspection schedules, and maintenance records are accurate and up to date.
  • Utilize CAMP and other designated systems to track maintenance schedules, projects, capital initiatives, and operational updates.

Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining large-cabin/ultra-long-range business jets.
  • Direct experience with the Gulfstream GV (or GIV/G550) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAMP or equivalent maintenance tracking software.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 91 regulations.
  • Experience managing MRO relationships and maintenance budgets.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.

Special Position Requirements
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Florida.
  • Regular travel required to support maintenance events and MRO visits.
  • Valid passport for potential international travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
