JOB TITLE: Field Service Engineer I
COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Anguil Environmental Systems, Inc. is a global manufacturing provider of industrial air pollution control, energy recovery systems, and wastewater treatment technologies. We are seeking to hire an Equipment Installer to specialize in managing all aspects of onsite activities of capital industrial equipment including pre-sale estimates, post-sale planning, Request for Quote (RFQ) preparation, contracting trades, and installation supervision. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for an organized and dependable detail-oriented person that is well-versed in construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals from different disciplines to achieve the best results.
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Service, the Field Service Engineer I is responsible for supporting the testing, installation, startup, and maintenance of Anguil's air pollution control, energy recovery, and water treatment systems. This role focuses on learning and performing essential field tasks, developing system knowledge, and building a foundation in customer service and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Field Service Engineer I will be expected to perform:
• Assist with the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
• Support shop and panel testing, including device configuration and wiring checks
• Participate in startup execution activities such as sensor validation and operational testing
• Learn to read and interpret schematics, P amp;IDs, and technical documentation
• Shadow experienced Field Service Engineers and contribute to punch list completion
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with internal teams, customers, and contractors
• Document service activities and support preparation of reports and field notes
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and site-specific protocols
• Consistently demonstrate and uphold the company’s four core values through actions, decisions, and interactions
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment that supports learning and teamwork
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned to support efficient use of company resources and ensure customer satisfaction
SKILLS amp; QUALIFICATIONS:
• Required
o Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
o Customer-focused mindset with effective communication skills
o Demonstrates initiative, accountability, and ownership in task execution
o Adheres to safety protocols and promotes a culture of compliance
o Works well in team environments and supports collaborative problem-solving
o Ability to assist with system wiring, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
o Familiarity with common industrial components (relays, sensors, VFDs)
o Basic understanding of PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell/Siemens exposure preferred)
o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Familiarity with ERP systems and digital documentation tools
o Up to 75% travel required, including overnights and weekends
o Domestic and occasional international travel based on customer and project needs
o Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
o Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work in industrial environments
• Preferred
o Experience in an industrial, technical service, or fabrication environment
o Training or coursework related to PLCs, industrial controls, or mechanical systems
EDUCATION amp; EXPERIENCE:
• Required
o Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
o Relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
