  • Looking for a Conversational AI Experience Designer, focused on Chat & Expert Assistance
  • 100% remote
  • Must be willing and able to go perm after 6-12 months without sponsorship.

Any experience with Sierra or IBM Watson is a plus, but not a Must

Must have Great communication

Must have recent and enterprise level Conversational Design within Chat.

Title: Conversational Experience Designer - Chat

Company: Healthcare

Duration: 6 months to start + possible extensions + and ability and interest to convert perm without sponsorship required as the manager would like the option to convert this resource if there is a mutual long term fit and budget.

Must Haves

  • Experience designing AI-powered conversational/chat experiences
  • Strong conversation design expertise, including:
  • Multi-turn dialogue design
  • Prompt and response design
  • Fallback and recovery patterns
  • Conversation flow optimization
  • Experience working on chat-first AI assistants (voice experience not required)

Pluses

  • Experience with Sierra AI (highly desired)
  • Experience implementing or designing solutions using IBM Watson
  • Experience with agentic AI or advanced AI assistant platforms
  • Experience supporting healthcare, customer service, or operational workflows

Day-to-Day

  • Design and optimize AI-driven chat experiences for customer service representatives
  • Create end-to-end conversational flows, prompts, responses, and escalation paths
  • Determine how AI should guide users through complex inquiries and large information responses
  • Identify points of user friction, confusion, and task breakdowns within chat interactions
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize and implement conversation design improvements
  • Support ongoing enhancements as AI capabilities and platforms evolve
