SUMMARY
The Subcontractor Relationships Administrator will serve as the central corporate resource for sourcing, contracting, onboarding and governance support needs related to subcontractors. Using an established framework you will lead business partners around the country in sourcing necessary additional subcontractor relationships. You will also lead subcontractor governance and compliance activities such as conducting periodic business reviews with higher tier subcontractors and ensuring that required documentation is in place and kept up to date. ORR has high standards for our subcontractors related to quality, safety and performance, and recent/continued growth has opened the opportunity for this newly created role.
Working closely with Purchasing, Finance, Legal, Quality, Safety and Operations stakeholders you will be a liaison between subcontractors and business partners at all levels of the organization from coordinators to vice presidents. This role is critical in scaling procurement best practices across the organization and in building and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has some procurement or subcontractor management experience, or is interested in growing their skills in those areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrate ORR’s core values of being Committed, Accountable, Respectful, Empathetic and Safe (C.A.R.E.S)
  • Lead RFx events to strategically source, evaluate and select new subcontractors
  • Support contract negotiation and setup for new subcontractors
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with documentation requirements and database accuracy
  • Serve as a knowledgeable liaison between subcontractors and internal business partners
  • Conduct business reviews with top tier subcontractors
  • Assist in other ongoing governance activities as needed
  • Assist in conducting competitive quoting requests
  • Support internal and external audit activities as needed, and help in responding to customer due diligence needs related to subcontractors
  • Monitor and track subcontractor spend data to identify and report on trends
  • Assist in building and executing on subcontractor category strategy
  • Stay up to date on construction and fire protection industry trends and the implications for the subcontractor landscape
MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics and supply chain or similar field of study (equivalent years of experience in a business environment may be considered)
  • At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a business environment, preferably in procurement or subcontractor management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity or experience with contract review and negotiation is helpful

  • This role is primarily remote, with the option for a hybrid work arrangement.
