Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Salary Range: 125K - 154K

LTS is seeking an experienced and collaborative Scrum Master to support a major modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health portfolio. This role will support Agile delivery teams responsible for modernizing mission-critical healthcare systems and enterprise applications supporting Veteran healthcare services nationwide.
The ideal candidate will possess strong Agile coaching, facilitation, and delivery management experience within complex federal IT or healthcare environments. This individual will work closely with product owners, developers, architects, business analysts, and government stakeholders to drive Agile best practices, improve team performance, and support successful delivery of modernization initiatives involving legacy and next-generation healthcare technologies.

What You'll Do:
Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams supporting VA healthcare modernization initiatives.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning activities.
Guide teams in the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile principles, Scrum practices, and team collaboration.
Support modernization initiatives involving legacy VistA/MUMPS-based healthcare systems and enterprise applications.
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to manage and prioritize product backlogs and delivery objectives.
Identify, track, and help remove impediments impacting team performance and project delivery.
Monitor team progress, sprint metrics, and delivery outcomes to support continuous improvement efforts.
Promote transparency, accountability, and effective communication across technical and business teams.
Support coordination across cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integration, and operations.
Assist with release planning, dependency management, risk tracking, and stakeholder reporting activities.
Support Agile documentation and reporting activities utilizing tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on delivering mission value and modernization success.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years of experience serving as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software development or IT modernization programs.
Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional technical teams.
Experience supporting enterprise IT, software development, or healthcare modernization initiatives.
Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience using Agile project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Ability to manage competing priorities and support delivery in fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have:
Experience supporting VA healthcare systems including VistA, CPRS, or VA modernization initiatives.
Familiarity with MUMPS-based applications and healthcare legacy modernization programs.
Experience supporting DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud modernization environments.
Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR.
Experience supporting large-scale federal government IT programs.
SAFe, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or related Agile certifications preferred.
Experience supporting distributed or remote Agile delivery teams preferred.

Why Join LTS?
At LTS, we support mission-driven programs that improve healthcare outcomes for Veterans nationwide. Our teams work on innovative modernization initiatives that help transform legacy healthcare systems into secure, scalable, and mission-focused digital solutions. We foster a collaborative environment centered on integrity, innovation, and professional growth while empowering employees to make meaningful contributions to critical federal healthcare missions.
