Job description

AEM (Advanced Environmental Monitoring) is the global leader in innovative mission critical weather, wildfire and water monitoring and intelligence solutions. We aim to be the world's essential source for environmental insights - enabling decisive action and positive outcomes for our customers and their constituents. Our family of innovators offers world-class hydrometeorological technologies and services, including sensors, dataloggers, telemetry, and advanced analytics and software. Our technology and services empower the communities and organizations to survive - and thrive - in the face of escalating environmental risks.
AEM is looking for a motivated Business Applications Administrator to support the enterprise systems that run our business. We gather and analyze environmental observations from around the world to help promote a better understanding of the planet and its atmosphere. The company operates the world's largest network of weather sensors and precise greenhouse gas data measurements, and builds enterprise data services and information applications for enterprise and government customers. Behind that mission is a growing portfolio of business systems - NetSuite, Salesforce, and a rapidly expanding set of integrations and AI-powered automations - that this role will help administer, connect, and improve.
Job Responsibilities:
NetSuite Administration
  • Handle day-to-day admin: user provisioning, roles and permissions, saved searches, workflows, custom fields and forms, dashboards.
  • Write and tune SuiteQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
  • Troubleshoot user issues, work with our NetSuite consultant on larger enhancements, and maintain sandbox/production hygiene.
  • Contribute to segregation-of-duties reviews and user access reviews.

Salesforce Administration
  • Support user management, profiles/permission sets, page layouts, flows, reports, and dashboards.
  • Partner with our Salesforce Admin on releases, sandbox refreshes, and data quality.
  • Assist with sales operations requests and light configuration work.

Integrations & Automation
  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business systems using REST/SOAP APIs and Celigo.
  • Own the health of existing integrations - monitor, alert, document, and remediate failures.
  • Apply security best practices to every integration: credential storage, least-privilege service accounts, token rotation, logging.

AI & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to AI-enabled automation projects (Claude integrations, agentic workflows) that reduce manual work across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or automate repetitive admin tasks.

This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years administering NetSuite in a production environment, including SuiteQL, saved searches, workflows, and role/permission design.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce administration (Trailhead Admin-level or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Demonstrated integration experience - you've built and maintained system-to-system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (Celigo, Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft), or workflow tools like n8n, Zapier, or Power Automate.
  • Comfort reading and writing scripts or expressions (JavaScript, SuiteScript basics, JSON) to debug and extend integrations.
  • Strong sense of ownership: you document your work, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and treat production systems with care.

Preferred Experience:
  • NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Experience with n8n.
  • Exposure to AI/LLM integrations (Claude, OpenAI APIs, agentic workflows, prompt engineering).
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environment.
  • Familiarity with SOX-adjacent controls, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.

Additional Information:
  • This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

US Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability & 401k match of up to 3%.
US Compensation Range: A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

AEM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
