Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and nurturing positive working relationships while adhering to professional ethics and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Conduct regular client meetings to assess progress, stability, and readiness for discharge when appropriate, ensuring a person-centered approach.
• Develop, implement, and continuously monitor individual treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs and goals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes and treatment records, in alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
• Execute intake assessments to gather comprehensive client histories and baseline information.
• Facilitate weekly individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
• Engage in ongoing individual supervision and professional growth experiences.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to client care.
• Foster a growth mindset, remaining open to feedback and committed to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia, held independently and actively without limitations.
• A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience working in a clinical outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in computer systems, including Excel spreadsheets, RMS systems, Outlook, and Pimsy software for maintaining records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families while utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
• Competence in conducting in-depth intake assessments to inform treatment planning.

Compensation and Benefits

• At Advocate Mind Health, employees can earn an annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
