Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments for new clients to understand their unique needs and concerns, facilitating the development of customized treatment plans that address their specific challenges.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on a range of topics such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and coping strategies, encouraging clients to explore and express their feelings in a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated care and ensure clients are receiving thorough support tailored to their mental health needs.
  • Engage in continuous education through training sessions and workshops to stay informed of the latest research, therapeutic modalities, and industry best practices, enhancing your skills as a practitioner.
  • Contribute insights and suggestions for improving our services and programs, playing an active role in shaping the effectiveness of our therapeutic offerings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Mental Health Counselor will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families, each facing diverse emotional challenges. Our patient demographic incorporates individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that every client receives culturally sensitive and personalized care that resonates with their experiences and needs.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure or certification in the state of Arizona, with credentials as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working directly with individuals managing emotional difficulties and mental health concerns.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to develop rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, enhancing documentation, and streamlining communication within the practice.
  • Experience in group therapy facilitation or specialized techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a plus.
