Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Technical Project Manager and Proposal Writer to provide direct customer support on a critical mission.

This position is based out of Chantilly, VA with the ability to work remotely.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining customer office technical baseline and governance documentation along with subcontractor management, and contract oversight.  

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Compile and structure researched technical information in a clearly communicated format for stakeholders.
  • Produce documentation per customer formatting and governance standards.
  • Maintain and revise as necessary baseline office documentation to include a Subcontractor Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan, and Statements of Work.
  • Review documentation (e.g. requirement documents, statements of work) submitted by various project stakeholders for completeness, correctness, and compliance prior to baselining.
  • Provide subcontractor coordination to include documentation workflows, deliverable validation, milestone oversight and risk/issue tracking.
  • Ensure cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
  • Interpret contract requirements and translate into clear, compelling technical staffing narratives
  • Provide program-level reporting and performance analysis.
  • Proactively research, identify, and interview prospective subcontractors or teaming partners to assess and evaluate their capabilities, mission alignment, technical depth, past performance, and integration into program delivery.
     

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more experience.

  • Experience authoring technical reference materials.
  • Experience authoring or maintaining governance documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams.
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Desired: Experience with Adobe Illustrator Design Tools.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
