Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ symptoms associated with mood disorders, determining the intensity, frequency, and duration of these issues.
  • Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, creating clear goals that align with their needs and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, discussing treatment options and promoting self-care strategies.
  • Track client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of client wellness.
  • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest research and best practices related to mood disorders.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential records compliant with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings to enhance client care and share insights.
  • Act as an advocate for clients, promoting mental health awareness and working to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will provide vital support to diverse populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring that all clients receive the compassionate care they need to overcome their challenges.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build secure therapeutic relationships with clients through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental approach to treatment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client needs and administrative duties.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with individuals suffering from complex mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with additional therapeutic modalities or adjunct services, such as addiction counseling.
  • Previous involvement in community outreach or advocacy initiatives in the mental health space is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
