• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings that evaluate clients' substance abuse histories, as well as their mental health and treatment requirements.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that effectively address both addiction issues and any underlying mental health disorders, integrating evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions utilizing proven methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), adapting approaches to suit different client circumstances.
• Actively collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to ensure holistic and integrated care that maximizes client outcomes.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational requirement; however, a master’s degree or doctorates in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment is essential for this position.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders is required, along with strong therapeutic and counseling skills.
• The ability to establish rapport with clients and effectively motivate them throughout their recovery journey is crucial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with the treatment team and contribute to an integrated care approach.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapeutic or counseling setting, specifically dealing with substance abuse or mental health issues.
• Prior experience working within a community health setting or a substance abuse treatment center is highly desirable.
