Reports To: Senior Director of Account Management

Position Summary

The Director of Payments manages the sales and operations of AxisCare's integrated payments platform, Bill & Collect. This commercially-focused role owns the day-to-day performance of the payments business, working cross-functionally with product/development, marketing, renewals, outside sales, customer success, operations, and other internal teams to ensure AxisCare has the best payments product in home care, that sales targets are met, and that customers have an optimal experience adopting and using the product.

The Director of Payments will be the primary point of contact to AxisCare's payment processing partners, managing the majority of day-to-day interaction with their teams. The ideal candidate has a background in both business development and payments, is comfortable managing a small team, and can dive into data and numbers to build board-level presentation materials.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales and operations of AxisCare's integrated payments platform (Bill & Collect)
  • Directly manage thepayments sales pipeline, including coaching, pipeline oversight, and performance accountability
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point person with AxisCare's payments facilitator (PFAC) partnerand lead weekly partner meetings
  • Work cross-functionally withrenewals,product,development, operations, outside sales, customer success, and other internal teams toachieve goals,drive product performance,andensurecustomeradoption
  • Handle customer escalations and manage relationships with high-priority accounts
  • Provide input into the product roadmap for Bill & Collect
  • Own and report on key performance indicators, including:
    • Attach rate / penetration of the private-pay customer base
    • Revenue from payments
    • Bookings
    • Sales initiatives
    • Adoption
  • Aggregate and prepare data forleadership
  • Ensure customers havea smooth, well-supported experience adopting and using AxisCare's payments product
  • Identifyand act on opportunities to improve the payments product, sales process, and customer adoption
  • Provide Marketing and Product Management with customer feedback and sales insights to help inform Bill & Collect positioning, product planning, and go-to-market activities


What Success Looks Like

During the first year, the Director of Payments will:

  • Achieve agreedBill& Collect bookings and revenue goals withinAxisCare'sexisting customer base
  • Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities and improve sales conversion
  • Support agreed renewal, retention, and customer-adoption goals in partnership withAccount Management
  • Establish clear expectations, coaching, and accountability for direct report(s)
  • Strengthen payment-partner performance and relationships
  • Build a framework that minimizes disruption when customers migrate between payment partners
  • Providetimelycommercial insights and forecasts that support decision-making by Product, Finance, and Marketing


What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, business development, account expansion, or strategic partnerships; at least three years in payments.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue or product adoption within an existing customer base.
  • Experience leading sales or business development professionals and managing external partners.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline management, forecasting, renewals, and customer retention.
  • Experience with vertical SaaS, healthcare technology, or payments solutions serving small and midsized businesses is a plus.
  • Experience managing or leading a small team
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data and numbers to build clear, board-ready materials
  • Experience with HubSpot a plus
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree oranequivalentcombinationof education and relevant professional experience preferred
