• Identify errors, exceptions, control deficiencies, and potential risk exposures, maintaining audit-ready documentation for findings.
Risk Analysis & Trend Reporting
• Analyze QA findings to identify recurring operational errors, procedural gaps, training deficiencies, and fraud risks.
• Recommend corrective actions and process enhancements to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.
• Compile QA reports, track error trends, and communicate findings to operational management and risk leadership.
Branch Audit & Discrepancy Investigation
• Assist branch leadership with interpreting internal audit results and developing practical remediation plans.
• Partner with branch teams to investigate significant cash differences, research transaction discrepancies, and identify contributing process gaps.
• Escalate potential fraud concerns, material operational risks, or compliance deficiencies promptly to risk management.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Training
• Evaluate operational workflows to identify opportunities for control effectiveness and continuous improvement using Lean practices.
• Partner with learning and development teams to address recurring operational errors through targeted training interventions.
• Serve as an operational risk resource to branch support teams, promoting a strong risk and compliance culture across the branch network.

• Demonstrated experience reviewing banking transactions, including ACH, wire transfers, teller processing, deposit accounts, and consumer lending.
• Strong knowledge of branch operating controls, transaction processing, and operational risk identification.
• Proven ability to conduct investigations, document audit-ready findings, and prepare clear management reports.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail for recognizing transaction and process exceptions.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working within a regulated financial institution or credit union environment.
• Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, AML compliance, and consumer lending requirements.
• Hands-on experience investigating cash discrepancies or potential operational fraud.
• Exposure to process improvement, Lean Six Sigma practices, or instructional feedback for training teams.
Core Skills & Attributes
• Strong objective mindset to conduct independent reviews while maintaining positive professional relationships with branch teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate risk findings and remediation recommendations clearly.
