• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the needs and treatment goals of each patient or client seeking help for substance use disorders.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on thorough diagnoses and evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate and lead individual counseling sessions utilizing advanced techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster positive behavior change.
• Design and conduct group therapy sessions that encourage supportive connections among participants, facilitating discussions on challenges and successes related to recovery.
• Act as a liaison among psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure relevant and integrated care for patients.
• Provide emergency crisis intervention and support for individuals experiencing substance-related incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of all clients involved.
• Engage actively in family education sessions, informing patients and their families about addiction dynamics, recovery resources, and coping strategies.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation according to all applicable legal and ethical standards while tracking progress toward treatment goals.
• Participate in ongoing learning opportunities and professional development workshops to stay abreast of the latest developments in substance use disorder treatment.

This role will involve working primarily with adult clients who are dealing with various stages of substance use disorders, including those in crisis and those seeking long-term recovery solutions. Our holistic approach prioritizes understanding each patient as a whole, accounting for co-occurring mental health issues, environmental factors, and personal histories.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.
• Proven experience in substance use disorder counseling and a strong understanding of treatment modalities.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
• Adept technological skills to effectively manage telehealth platforms and documentation software.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting, particularly in mental health or substance use treatment.
• Knowledge of local community resources available for patients and families in crisis.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment practices specific to addiction recovery.
