Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose patient mental health conditions, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to inform your care plans.
  • Develop personalized, culturally sensitive treatment plans that incorporate the unique needs of your patients, adapting strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress continuously, providing tailored interventions and therapeutic strategies to enhance recovery and support mental well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment records and clinical notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a cohesive treatment approach, pivoting as necessary based on patient feedback and evolving needs.
  • Build and nurture relationships with other healthcare providers and agencies to streamline patient care and referral processes effectively.
  • Engage in educational opportunities by mentoring interns and peers, contributing to team development and best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve individuals and families affected by cancer, providing them with critical mental health support during a challenging period in their lives. Your role will involve addressing a spectrum of issues such as anxiety, depression, and the psychosocial impacts of a cancer diagnosis, utilizing evidence-based methodologies tailored to the unique experiences of these patients.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.
  • Proven experience in mental health settings, especially working with oncology patients, is highly preferred.
Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and therapeutic modalities relevant to our patient population. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will be highly advantageous to facilitate smooth communication and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

Health Access Medical Center offers a competitive salary range from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
