Job description

Position: Azure Service lead
Client: Accenture/Markel Insurance
Location: Richmond, VA (work is hybrid if in Richmond, or fully remote)
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: max client bill rate $90/HR
Key Responsibilities:
  • Azure production support and troubleshooting experience.
  • Lead Service Management delivery for Azure Cloud Platform and other supporting tools/platforms (Databricks, Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.) - this includes all Service, Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
  • Implement, and manage Azure IaaS solutions including Networking, Storage, and Security.
  • Implement and manage Azure Paas Components (., Logic Apps, Function Apps, Durable Functions, Databricks, ADF, KeyVaults, ALDS/Storage Accounts)
  • Optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, governance policies, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide root cause analysis for outages or performance bottlenecks.
  • Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of Azure IaaS components (Vms, VNets, Load Balancers, NSGs, Storage Accounts) procurement of Paas Components (Logic Apps, Function Apps, Durable Functions, Databricks, ADF, KeyVaults, ALDS/Storage Accounts)
  • Networking: Familiarity of Azure networking concepts.
  • Security: Familiarity with Azure RBAC, policies, and identity management.
  • Automation: Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and integration with CI/CD tools.
  • Monitoring: Knowledge of Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
  • Exposure to cost optimization strategies and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading offshore team to increase quality and to expedite deliverables
