Healthy Wave Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) for a full-time remote position. • Conducting comprehensive initial assessments through preliminary interviews, gathering and documenting clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health histories.
• Implementing tailored treatment and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster trust and promote healing outcomes.
• Monitoring clients' progress and adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective intervention.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and update intervention strategies that enhance the client’s recovery journey.
• Maintaining thorough documentation from initial consultations through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Conducting timely follow-ups with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients who might require additional medical support.
• Proactively identifying and addressing behaviors that may hinder recovery while providing support to family members and caregivers involved in the mental health process.

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia.
• Proof of passing scores on relevant certifications such as NCE and/or NCMHCE.
• Strong competence with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate client documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with the latest best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Exceptional communication skills that facilitate a compassionate approach to counseling.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, showcasing expertise and rapport-building skills.

• Previous experience in a community health setting, preferably working with a client base that includes diverse cultural backgrounds.
• A history of employing evidence-based therapeutic practices that enhance client outcomes.
• Experience in crisis intervention and management, reflecting a proactive approach to client wellness.
