Ability to explain sketch constraints, timeline-based parametric history, and manufacturing preparation while preparing students for product design, mechanical engineering, and digital fabrication careers.
  • Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching parametric design, assembly modeling, and manufacturing preparation in Fusion 360. Guides students through creating constrained sketches, building parametric solid models, assembling components with joints, running stress simulations, generating CNC toolpaths, and creating technical drawings. Emphasizes design intent through parametric relationships and connects Fusion 360 to prototyping, 3D printing, and CNC manufacturing workflows.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Fusion 360 curricula and common challenges such as understanding sketch constraints, managing the parametric timeline, and transitioning between design and manufacturing workspaces. Adapts instruction using guided design projects, manufacturing exercises, and progressive complexity to support students from CAD beginners through advanced users preparing for product design, engineering, or maker-space fabrication.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
