Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while serving clients effectively. Although you will primarily work from a remote environment, you will be part of a dynamic, integrated team that values collaboration and communication. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to assess patients' trauma histories and guide appropriate treatment methodologies.
  • Craft and execute individualized treatment plans, focusing on the dual goals of trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to individual client needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering emotional healing.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and cohesive care to all clients. This may include case consultations and sharing patient insights to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-derived emergencies, ensuring client safety and emotional stabilization.
  • Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, fostering a supportive network outside the therapy setting.
  • Accurately document treatment processes, progress notes, and other relevant records in adherence to ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate proactively in team meetings, professional development sessions, and other collaborative activities dedicated to trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed of emerging research and best practices within the field of trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals who have experienced trauma. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and the ability to offer empathy and understanding as patients navigate their recovery journeys. As a member of our team, you will provide vital support to those affected by PTSD, complex trauma, and additional mental health challenges arising from adverse experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
  • At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably within trauma-informed care settings.
  • Robust knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, accompanied by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits
