Job description

Position Overview

Peoples Movement Psychiatric Solutions is seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote capacity. As an LCSW, your primary focus will be to provide comprehensive mental health services and therapeutic interventions to students in a school setting. You will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans, and facilitating engaging therapy sessionsโ€”either individually or in groups. Your work will play a pivotal role in enhancing studentsโ€™ emotional and social well-being, ultimately supporting them in achieving their academic potential.

About the Organization

At Peoples Movement Psychiatric Solutions, we are committed to promoting mental health awareness and enhancing the quality of life for individuals in our community. Our organization prides itself on providing accessible, evidence-based mental health services, with a focus on fostering wellness and resilience. We collaborate closely with schools and other community entities to ensure a supportive environment for our clients, particularly children and adolescents navigating various mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This position allows for a fully remote work setting, providing you with the flexibility to manage your schedule effectively while working from the comfort of your home. Despite the remote nature of this role, our team culture emphasizes connection and collaboration, ensuring you remain engaged with your colleagues through regular meetings, team-building activities, and professional development workshops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct virtual psychosocial assessments to identify the strengths and needs of students, ensuring comprehensive understanding of their mental health status.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, employing therapeutic techniques to help students cope with and manage mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other healthcare providers to coordinate integrated care strategies, promoting holistic support for students' well-being.
  • Advocate for the rights of students by connecting them to essential community resources and services, further enhancing their access to mental health support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, therapeutic progress, and treatment outcomes using electronic health records to comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in clinical consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance your own skills and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be serving students aged 6-18 within various school districts, addressing a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral challenges. Understanding the unique pressures faced by students is crucial in providing them with the appropriate support, enabling them to thrive in their academic and personal lives. Your role will be particularly impactful as you work to destigmatize mental health discussions within the school community.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing clinical social work services, with a focus on child and adolescent populations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies that promote positive mental health outcomes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with diverse student populations and their families.
  • A commitment to employing culturally competent practices and advocating for social justice within the educational environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within school-based mental health programs.
  • Familiarity with telehealth services and experience utilizing virtual platforms for therapy sessions.
  • Certification(s) in evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Experience in collaborative work environments that involve interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and caseload management. Along with an attractive salary, our benefits package includes:

  • Flexible work hours to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuing education reimbursement.
  • Administrative support to ease scheduling, billing, and insurance processes.
  • Access to a wide network of professionals for collaboration and referrals.
  • Engagement in a supportive team environment with consistent peer consultation and supervision.
  • Autonomy in treatment delivery, allowing customization based on individual client needs and therapeutic expertise.
Career Growth Opportunities

Joining Peoples Movement Psychiatric Solutions offers numerous pathways for professional growth. You will have the opportunity to expand your clinical skills, participate in advanced training, and work towards leadership roles within the organization. Our commitment to fostering talent means that we encourage you to pursue your career aspirations within our supportive environment.
