A Remote 1099 Insurance agent is an independent contractor who sells insurance policies from a remote location, often working from home. '1099' refers to the IRS tax form used for self-employed individuals, meaning the agent is not a traditional employee but instead works on a contract basis. These agents typically earn commissions on the policies they sell and have flexibility in setting their own hours. They are responsible for their own taxes and may need to manage their own business expenses.

Outstanding self-motivation, organization, and interpersonal skills help agents build trust and manage client relationships from a distance.
