Job description

At Caring Transitions, we help seniors and families navigate some of life's biggest transitions. From downsizing and relocating to estate sales and home organization, we provide hands-on support that helps make overwhelming situations feel more manageable.

Our work is about more than sorting belongings or packing boxes. It's about helping people move forward with dignity, compassion, and peace of mind during important life changes.

We're looking for a Senior Relocation & Organizing Team Lead who enjoys staying active, helping others, and leading by example. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside the team while also helping coordinate projects and keep everything running smoothly.

What You'll Do

As a Team Lead, you'll participate in the same day-to-day project work as our team members while taking on additional leadership responsibilities.

You may:

  • Guide and support team members on project sites
  • Help organize, sort, pack, and prepare household belongings for relocation, donation, or sale
  • Assist with client move-ins and home setup projects
  • Help coordinate daily project activities and priorities
  • Ensure projects stay organized, efficient, and on schedule
  • Maintain a positive, supportive team environment
  • Communicate project updates and needs to management
  • Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and strong client service
Why This Role Matters

Every project represents a family going through an important transition. Whether helping a senior downsize, preparing a home for sale, or supporting a move to a new residence, your work helps reduce stress and create a smoother experience for the people we serve.

The work is meaningful and often deeply appreciated by clients and their families. You'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in your community while helping people during times when support matters most.

Why People Enjoy This Role

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy helping others while taking on a leadership role.

Many of our successful Team Leads are retirees, stay-at-home moms looking for flexible part-time work, part-time real estate professionals seeking supplemental income, and people who enjoy helping others while coordinating and supporting a team. They appreciate meaningful work, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in their community.

What We're Looking For
  • Natural leadership skills and a positive attitude
  • Dependable and organized
  • Comfortable working alongside and guiding others
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Compassionate and professional when interacting with clients
  • Willingness to perform active, hands-on work throughout the day
  • Reliable transportation to local project locations

Previous leadership, organizing, relocation, retail, customer service, project coordination, or team management experience is helpful but not required.

What We Offer
  • Flexible part-time schedule
  • Primarily daytime weekday hours
  • Starting pay of $22 per hour
  • Meaningful work that impacts local families
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture
  • Opportunity for additional leadership and growth within the business
  • Varied projects that keep the work interesting and rewarding
A Quick Note

This is an active, hands-on leadership role. Team Leads work alongside their team and help wherever needed to ensure projects are completed successfully.

Most items handled are light household belongings and boxes weighing less than 30 pounds. Heavy lifting and furniture moving are not part of this position.

The work is meaningful and often deeply appreciated by the families we serve. Every project is an opportunity to make someone's transition a little easier and less overwhelming.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you.
