A Relocation Specialist meets with customers in person to identify their needs and close sales deals. Their main duties include traveling to assigned territories to meet with potential and current customers, negotiating sales contracts and telling clients about new products, updates, and features. Manage all incoming property referrals and leads from assigned division/territory.

What are the responsibilities of a Relocation Specialist?

  • Manage Division sales and incoming leads
  • Compile and submit prospects into CRM
  • Sourcing/researching business local to sales territory
  • Outside sales including cold calls, online searches, etc.
  • Prepare and process quotes, from initiation to follow up on quotes
  • Facilitate the booking of units
  • Generate leads from outside of property referrals and 3p
  • Screen applicants and companies
  • Organize the signing leases with the community and client
  • Participate in walking new move-ins, with Property Management
  • Verify bank accounts when setting up a new unit
  • Communicate with the property management throughout sales process especially at possession of unit
  • Evaluate community for needs through gathering information regarding payment, utilities and cable/internet
  • Coordinate and process renewals
  • Develop relationships with current and potential clients. Educate prospects on services offered from VIA by Edward Rose
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts inside of the provided CRM system.
  • Guide and inform customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally

What are the role requirements?

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
  • At least five years of related experience required.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in an outside sales position
  • Attendance, work ethic, and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Highly effective communicator.
  • Ability to travel out of state as required.
  • Must present the ability to execute job duties under stressful circumstances such as last-minute deadlines or other difficult situation
