Lead a Top-Tier Manufacturing Facility Known for Quality and Performance

We are seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of precision machining manufacturing operations. This is a pivotal role in the organization, responsible for driving efficiency, implementing strategic plans, and leading a diverse team to meet production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Production Planning, Operations Management, and Performance Management. With a visionary approach, the Plant Manager will ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently. This role is offering relocation assistance for the right candidate.

LOCATION NOTE: This position is not located in Detroit. This is a fully on-site leadership opportunity that requires relocation to the Upper Midwest. Relocation assistance is available, and additional relocation or housing support may be considered for the right candidate. Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a diverse team, fostering an environment of mutual respect, cooperation, and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's overall objectives, ensuring the plant operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee all aspects of Production Planning, ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Manage and optimize Operations Management, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Conduct Performance Management, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and recognizing the achievements of team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for process and operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety procedures.
  • Develop and manage the plant's budget, making necessary adjustments as needed to meet financial objectives.
  • Handle any issues or delays in production in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant management role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Background in overseeing CNC machining operations.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong understanding of Production Planning and Operations Management.
  • Experience in Performance Management and setting performance metrics.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills with the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with industry-specific software.
  • Must be willing to relocate.
