Powerstaff

Dallas, TX

$130K - $160K/yr

Full-time

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

Your Next Company
Powerstaff is partnering with a leading global project management and advisory organization to recruit experienced Senior Schedulers for major data center construction programs across the United States.
Our client supports some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects globally, providing project controls, scheduling, and advisory services to major owners, contractors, and development partners.
With significant growth across the data center sector, this is an opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to join a high-performing team and play a key role in delivering mission critical projects.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Scheduler, you will support major data center projects, working closely with owners, contractors, and project teams to manage schedules, identify risks, and improve project outcomes.
This is a client-facing position requiring strong Primavera P6 capability, commercial awareness, and the confidence to provide independent advice, challenge contractor schedules, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.
The primary requirement is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
The role will involve approximately 50% office-based work and 50% supporting project sites within 1 - 3 hours from the office. Site travel will be within Texas and can range from approximately 1 to 3 hours depending on project location.
Travel expenses will be covered where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Review and assess contractor schedules, progress, and performance.
  • Identify critical path activities, delays, risks, and schedule impacts.
  • Perform delay, variance, and recovery analysis.
  • Support mitigation planning and schedule improvement strategies.
  • Review baseline schedules, milestones, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.
  • Identify schedule quality issues including poor logic, open ends, constraints, and excessive lags.
  • Assess the impact of changes on project timelines.
  • Provide clear reporting and schedule recommendations to clients and project teams.
  • Participate in meetings and confidently communicate your professional opinion.
About You You will be an experienced Scheduler or Project Controls professional with strong construction scheduling experience and the ability to operate in a client-facing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
  • Strong hands-on Primavera P6 experience.
  • Experience managing complex construction schedules.
  • Strong understanding of CPM, logic, float, and critical path analysis.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging contractor schedules.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain project experience.
  • Experience working with owners, contractors, and major project teams.
  • Ability to work independently and provide trusted advice.
Highly Regarded
  • Data center or mission critical project experience.
  • MEP, electrical power, or commissioning experience.
  • Experience through construction, energization, commissioning, IST, and RFS phases.
  • Large-scale infrastructure project experience.
Additional Data Center Opportunities
Our client also has active Scheduler requirements supporting dedicated data center projects in:
  • St. Louis, Missouri
  • Kansas City, Missouri
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • Nebraska
  • Candidates currently based in these locations or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.
These are permanent site-based positions and are different from the Dallas-Fort Worth opportunity.
Candidates for these roles must either already live in the required location or be willing to permanently relocate.
These positions are not travelling roles and are not remote. Candidates will be based full-time at the assigned data center project location.
What's On Offer
  • $130,000 - $160,000 base salary depending on experience.
  • Travel expenses covered for applicable site travel.
  • Opportunity to work on major US data center programs.
  • Exposure to some of the largest mission critical projects in the country.
  • Long-term career opportunities with a globally recognized organization.
  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced project and construction professionals.
Next Steps
If you are an experienced Scheduler looking to work on major data center projects and take the next step in your Project Controls career, we would like to hear from you.
