A fast-growing brewery based in the Carolinas is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead statewide wholesale sales performance and team development.

This role is ideal for an experienced beverage alcohol sales leader who is comfortable in the field, experienced with distributor management, and capable of building disciplined sales systems that scale.

The position is designed to grow into a Director-level role as the business expands.

Candidates for this role will be expected to relocate to the designated territory in North Carolina.

The Senior Sales Manager oversees wholesale sales execution across distributor partners and an internal sales team. This role is accountable for achieving volume targets, improving distributor execution, and developing a high-performing, accountable sales organization.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring frequent in-market work, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and regular statewide travel.

This role will require relocation to the designated area within the Carolinas.

  • Conduct ride-alongs, market audits, and priority resets
  • Hold distributor partners accountable to agreed-upon goals and standards
  • Address distributor underperformance directly and professionally
  • Own statewide wholesale sales planning and pacing
  • Contribute forecasting inputs by market and channel
  • Partner with operations and finance to align demand with production capacity
  • Build and maintain sales scorecards, reporting, and execution standards
  • Represent sales priorities in cross-functional planning conversations
  • Align field execution with marketing, operations, and finance
  • Communicate risks, constraints, and recommendations clearly

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 610 years of experience in beverage alcohol sales or wholesale leadership
  • Proven experience leading and developing sales teams
  • Strong distributor management background
  • Demonstrated ability to set targets and hold teams accountable
  • Craft beer or regional beverage experience
  • Multi-market sales exposure
  • Experience helping scale a sales organization
