National Service & Monitoring Sales Manager
This is an opportunity to join a growing, dynamic, and responsible organization that prioritizes the development of its associates while delivering industry-leading fire protection solutions.
ORR Protection Systems is seeking a National Fire Protection Service Sales Executive to expand our portfolio of national, multi-site service customers. This position may be based in any primary ORR market and is not eligible for relocation assistance.
This role is ideal for a high-performing, consultative outside sales professional with a proven ability to develop new national accounts, manage complex sales cycles, and pursue RFP-driven opportunities for testing, inspection and Monitoring services across multiple locations. It's important to note that ORR considers revenue growth related to Monitoring services to be a strategic priority, and that we value experience with Monitoring sales when considering candidates for this role as a result.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • All team members must embody ORR's mission to provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of their work.
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new national, multi-site fire protection service and monitoring opportunities across industries including Data Centers, Industrial, Telecommunications, Power Generation, Manufacturing, and other commercial verticals.
  • Demonstrate a strong hunter mentality, generating new leads through cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach focused on ORR's specialized inspection, testing, maintenance, and monitoring services.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with business decision-makers at all organizational levels to uncover needs, align solutions, and advance opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Operations and internal stakeholders to support proposal development, contract reviews, and solution alignment.
  • Negotiate and close sales opportunities of varying contract lengths, complexity, and revenue scope.

RFP Management:
  • Draft, format, and edit RFP responses to ensure accuracy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Manage RFP timelines and submission deadlines to ensure timely and complete responses.
  • Maintain and continuously improve ORR's RFP content repository, including questionnaires, financial documentation, safety/quality materials, and process narratives.

Market Research:
  • Research prospective clients and target industries to identify new national, multi-site RFP and direct pursuit opportunities.
  • Analyze competitor positioning and RFP responses to strengthen ORR's value proposition and submission quality.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate CRM pipeline data, tracking leads, pursuits, and opportunity progress.
  • Prepare reports on RFP activity, outcomes, and feedback to support continuous improvement and strategy refinement.

Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and nurture relationships with prospects throughout the sales and RFP lifecycle.
  • Participate in industry conferences and trade shows as required to support prospecting and brand presence.
  • Follow up post-submission to gather feedback and understand client decision-making timelines.

Administrative Support:
  • Manage administrative tasks related to RFP submissions, including scheduling meetings, coordinating clarifications, and organizing documentation.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience required.
  • Minimum 2+ years of fire protection sales experience required; service sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience selling monitoring services strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • All associates are required to pass a drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report.
  • Driving to customer sites and conducting visual site surveys.
